Callistus attended the University of Nigeria where he obtained his Law Degree. He then proceeded to The Nigerian Law School and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2004. He holds an LL.M degree in International Commercial & Maritime Law from Swansea University, Wales, UK.
He joined the firm in 2006 and handles complex litigation , and arbitration associated with his area of practice. He has been actively involved in Maritime, Shipping, Commercial and Corporate practice of the firm. He advises on Ship registration, Charter & sale of vessels, arrest & release of vessels, general leases & mortgages, shipping related and regulatory compliance issues. He is very involved in matters touching on Port Concessions and advises on a wide range of Terminal and Cargo disputes.
He also undertakes sector specific mediation between Terminal Operators and the relevant Regulators in the industry and is experienced in advising on Shipping regulatory issues.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association , the International Bar Association , the Nigerian Maritime Lawyers Association and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.
